Biggest & Best Bridal Show

Information for Brides

Attending a bridal show can be very helpful in planning your wedding.  You can meet and speak directly with many wedding professionals - all in one location!   So come spend an afternoon with vendors from all over Lancaster County and beyond that have set up "their shops" all in one location to help you do some major planning all in one day.   Sometimes getting to talk to a wedding professional face to face makes it so much easier to decide who is the one who will win your wedding business.

Make sure you come prepared and bring a clipboard or folder to take information from all of the different vendors.  Bringing a tablet and a pen can also help you take notes on your favorite companies with whom you have talked.  And don't worry, if you run out of time, or have to come late or leave early - we'll give you a handy program from the show which lists all of the vendors and their contact information.

For the prospective bride, a bridal show offers the opportunity to meet most local and sometimes non-local vendors all in one location. Attending a bridal show may mean one can consider all the things that go into a wedding in one day of shopping.    Prospective brides may want to bring their mother, bridesmaids, fiance, father (since he might be paying!) and of course your wedding planner or assistant.   Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to have fun because it can be as entertaining as well as an instructive day.  You should plan to spend several hours.

Right before the fashion show you can expect to be entertained by our New York Style Disc Jockey and Emcee, Chris Poje.    The fashion show will include bridal and bridesmaid dresses, as well as mothers' dresses and other formal clothing and of course tuxedos.

You can expect to see some vendors having "show specials" if you book with them the day of the show, or even within a few days.  You'll get to sample wedding cakes and other scrumptious treats.  You'll be able to compare prices and services all in one day very easily and quickly.

Let's talk prizes:  Every vendor donates a prize - Some big and some small, but even saving $50 is exciting to almost any bride.  As you enter the show you will fill out a registration card with all of your contact information and an area where you are to mark those items and services you are still shopping for.   This is a great way for the vendors at the show to send you more information and to offer you discounts or specials, especially if they see that your wedding date is one they still have open.

Tips:   If you haven't done so already, get a free email account set up and use it only for your wedding shopping, online, at vendors and bridal shows.  This way you don't have to worry about receiving wedding information for years to come, you can just cancel the account.   Some businesses will have extra prize drawings at their booths, so if you want to be the ultra-prepared bride, then bring some stickers with all your information already printed on them to stick on the entry blanks (name, address, phone, email, wedding date).
